About 9% of Californians self-reported a substance-use disorder. About 10% of that population seeks help. Extrapolating those statistics on Napa County, there are around 1,200 people seeking recovery in a given time. Napa County has two in-patient treatment centers with about 100 beds total. For long term success after in-patient treatment, it is always suggested to live in a Sober Living Environment (or SLE), also known as a halfway house. These SLE’s are a way for addicts and alcoholics to better reintegrate into their communities in a safe and supportive environment. There are currently four SLE’s with an estimated count of 35 total beds in Napa County. There is a huge need and every SLE has reported a waitlist.
Our Mission
We believe in the transformative power of community and recovery. Our mission is to provide a structured, supportive environment that promotes healing, growth, and lasting sobriety. The journey is not easy, but it is simple. At Promise Sober Living, we do it together.
History
Promise Sober Living was established in 2024. It is modeled after Cornerstone Sober Living in Marin County. This is because Promise Sober Living founder, Brian Dodd, understands that his experience there was an integral part of his program.
